DOMINICA SUPPER CLUB

Dixie brings you a taste if Dominica! This beautiful Caribbean oasis lies quietly between the French islands of Martinique & Guadeloupe, rich with volcanic soil and abundant with local produce. Its unique food culture reflects its history and geography including a fusion of African, European, and indigenous Kalinago influences (just to name a few), resulting in a cuisine that is steeped in history but above all completely and utterly delicious.

Dixie is a chef, born and raised in South Wales, to an English father & a Dominican mother but now living in London. Growing up the family had a small deli so food has always been the number 1 topic.

As you can imagine Caribbean ingredients weren’t readily available in tiny towns South Wales in the 1990’s so we actually didn’t eat much Dominican food growing up. These supper clubs are Dixie’s little way of exploring and connecting with her heritage and exhibiting a food culture that is widely unfamiliar. We showcase the gorgeous ingredients and dishes of Dominica as well as a good injection my own style as British chef.

These suppers aren’t just about the food but about bringing people together and bonding over a meal. We like sharing platters & communal tables where possible so guests can interact with new & familiar souls. Food, we believe, is one of the biggest pleasures in life and an incredible way to show LOVE. So go on, pass the bakes to your neighbour and show them that you care.
